General Policies
Dress Code
All students are required to follow the dress code for school and physical education.
Homework
Homework has often been the source of conflict at home. No homework, therefore, is assigned until the student has the skills and motivation to work independently at home (which usually takes around a semester to happen).
Parent Communication
Communication between parents and the school is essential for parents to feel comfortable and to understand our program. Therefore, in addition to parent report card conferences (where we discuss and evaluate progress), school initiated phone calls to touch base, or "special meetings" set up by the school; parents are welcome to set up appointments whenever the need arises.
